In September we took a vacation to Florida! We drove there and split the drive in half with a stop in Pensacola. We had a day at the beach there and the next day drove the rest of the way to Orlando.
Once at Disney, we tried to fit in as many character meals in as we could. Basically, the characters would roam the restaurant and take pictures and sign books with everyone. First up was the dinner with Mickey Mouse & friends.
The next day we had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, which had Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins.
Also on the agenda was anything to do with Ariel, her obsession at that time. So we met Ariel and went on the Little Mermaid ride.
Next was the Belle experience. Here's Finn passing the time waiting in line by chewing on his finger (his favorite past time).
At this one, kids got to help act out the story. Lilly was Mrs. Potts.

We also met Tinkerbelle and Rosetta.
We had lunch at the Crystal Palace which has Winnie the Pooh & all his friends.
We also met a lot of the princesses.

This was the stroller we rented while there. It was awesome and Finn slept in it like a dream.
Lilly was also lucky enough to go to the Bippity Boppity Boutique. You basically get a princess makeover. Lilly picked out an Ariel dress (of course) and shoes. Here's the before picture.
She got her hair, nails, and makeup done.
And AFTER!
She loved this! She even wore this dress for Halloween.
We also rode quite a few rides. Lilly loved most of them. Except the kiddie rollercoaster. That was a little TOO much rollercoaster for her. Hopefully it didn't scar her for life. :)
Phineas & Ferb were also on the list of characters Lilly wanted to meet. (Christian's list too!)
I thought it was hilarious she hugged Phineas but would only shake Ferb's hand. Eventually though she did end up giving Ferb a hug.
Another fun dinner was at Epcot's Akershus Hall in the Norway section. They had a ton of princesses at this dinner and Norwegian food.
Of course the favorite was Ariel. They even did a little princess parade around and Ariel came and picked Lilly to hold her hand and walk around with her. Lilly loved it.
We had tons of fun and the kids both did surprisingly well with no scheduled naps and with the horrible heat and humidity. Luckily it was not crowded at all (September is a wonderful time of the year to go) and we got lots of things done. Lilly keeps talking about going back and that she wants Daddy to get a job so we can go back to Florida. Hopefully some day :)
