Recent Pictures

Recent pictures from both our phones, though not in order or good quality.

Check out where all the tattoos went that she got at the parade.

Shelby!

The neighbors here in Houston have 2 shelties and Melanie (Christian's sister) was pet sitting them for a couple days. This one looked so much like Shelby, it made me a little nostalgic!

The Fourth

For the Forth of July, we started out the day by heading up to the parade in The Woodlands. Here is Lilly all decked out in her new dress.

Waiting for the parade to start. We found shade so it wasn't too bad.

The start of the parade.

Christian was in charge of the camera, so there are a lot of pictures of cars.

Lilly's balloon flower. There was a clown making balloons while we waited for the parade to start and Lilly requested a flower.

An ambulance, monster truck style. They called it the "WHAMbulance"

Lilly waving to all the people in the parade.

Lilly blowing her whistle that she got from the parade.

Chick-fil-a cow that Lilly high-fived/fist-bumped.

Even "Obama" was there.

And all kinds of crazy vehicles.

Lilly's ice cream fan.

Old school fire truck.

And old school ambulance.

Even Cinderella showed up.

Just like last year, Lilly got lots of loot. Lots of candy, bracelets, water bottles, a whistle, stress balls, pencils, stickers, tattoos, coupons, and lots of popsicles. Actually, we all got lots of popsicles because tons of people were handing them out. I think Christian's mom got about 10.

In the afternoon, we barbecued and stuffed our selves silly and then later that night we also walked about 5 minutes down the street to watch the fireworks. The sub-division had its own show apparently. They were pretty dang good fireworks too. Overall, a great Fourth!

5 years

For those that don't know, we are in Houston again for the summer. Christian got the same internship as last year at Baker Hughes, so we are spending the summer at his parents house again in Spring TX.

June 1st was our 5th Anniversary so we decided to take a trip. We finally went last weekend to San Antonio and left Lilly with the grandparents. We left Friday night and stayed the night in a hotel on the Riverwalk. Saturday we spent all day at Schlitterbahn, which is supposedly rated the best waterpark in the US. I was pretty fun but very crowded. We knew it would be but decided to brave the crowds anyways. That night we  explored the Riverwalk a little more.

We also ate dinner at some Italian restaurant there.

Christian taking pictures of the view from the hotel room. Sadly we didn't get a view on the side of the Riverwalk.

On Sunday we slept in and then checked out the Alamo. Also very crowded but still cool to see.

After the Alamo we got some lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. We also stopped for a Chocolate Caramel dipped apple (which was delicious!) and then headed home to Lilly. It was a great weekend and the first time Lilly was away from both of us at the same time for more than a couple of hours, but she did great! Can't wait to do it again ;)
