2

I'm going to let you in on a little secret (for those who didn't already know). I've wanted a second baby pretty much since Lilly was a year old. Of course, that was too soon for Christian to get on board with having another baby but it didn't take too long for him to come around. My body on the other hand refused to cooperate. But here's the other secret, my body finally came around too.  Which of course means that Lilly is going to be a big sister!

We are so excited to be expecting our second baby, especially since it wasn't the quickest process and I am probably the least patient person in the world! The baby is due March 10th, 2013 and I am about 12 weeks along. I heard the heartbeat last week and go in next week for an ultrasound. And here's to hoping the nausea doesn't last too much longer!

Lillyisms

Here are some of the funny things Lilly has been up to lately:

Lately Lilly has been really into using the words "amazing", "holy cow", and "cool".

One morning she went into Bestemor's napkin drawer and pulled out some blue paper napkins with little cartoon animals on them. Then she said "I like these. They are amazing!!"  Its just really funny to see what she thinks is amazing because it is almost always something little and worthless, like the napkin.

One morning I was changing Lilly's diaper (we are in the process of potty training right now! wish us luck) and started a little song:

Me: Your bum is in the air. Your bum is in the air. (If any of you remember the bum bum song by Tom Green, it was to that tune)
Then Lilly just cut right in with: My bum is down in my jammies. My bum is in my diapie.

It was just soo funny to me, she even was pretty close to the right tune as she sang along. haha.

I have also decided that Lilly is a baby hoarder.  She is very attached to things and always tries to keep the weirdest things.  One day she was borrowing one of Beste's purses to carry around and be "pitty" (pretty). We were going out to lunch and Lilly brought the purse with her. At the restaurant, she proceeded to put a sugar packet in there, the cloth napkin, and even asked me if she could take the fork home. A real fork mind you, not a plastic one.  Luckily, I found the napkin in her purse before we left and of course I said no to the fork.  And when I do laundry her pockets are always full of rocks, pine needles, feathers, sticks, and flowers that she just "needs" to keep.  Now I just need to break this hoarding habit before she gets too old.

Dancing Lilly

One night in Houston, we went out to dinner at PF Changs. It was pretty busy so we had a little bit of a wait.  While we waited outside, Lilly kept us entertained with her dancing. She danced like this for a good 10 minutes at least. It was pretty cute.
